Jewelry Show at WCDS

So, my Mom is taking my stuff to her school to show it to the teachers, faculty and high school girls. Hopefully people will like it and lots will sell. :) Here are a few of the things I am sending... (along with a lot of my stuff from previous entries as well).

AC Moore v. Michaels

So, I recently discovered the bead isle at AC Moore. Trouble. But wait...first, I must tell you that Michaels has upped the temptation on their coupons... instead of the 40% off that they used to give with each receipt and in each newspaper ad, they've now started handing out 60% off coupons. And I'd like to just say to the marketing people for Michaels...it works. Nice job. It draws me back and I spend more than I intended.

So, as I said...I've been spending some time at AC Moore. Here is what I've found...Michaels has a much larger selection of beads than AC Moore (Michaels has several isles of beads), but AC Moore seems to have more unique beads - which is super fun. Michaels has better customer service and a much quicker check out process, but AC Moore does have those super cute unique beads. So, I've decided I'll just have to continue to frequent both places. Oh...and they both take competitors coupons...so 60% off at AC Moore too!!

The necklace below was made with beads from Michaels...and I tried a new technique making a double strand necklace.

Borrowing from my friends...

So this post has nothing to do with jewelry...you're probably relieved. I just wanted to brag on the creativity of a couple of my friends for a moment. Several of my closest friends got together today to host a baby shower for another dear, dear friend. Nicole made the centerpiece for the table, shown here. It is a combination of diapers, onesies, pacifiers, rattles and other fun stuff all wrapped around baby lotion. So creative!



And what is a baby shower with out a cake!! Kristen and Sharon are becoming quite the cake decorating team. Here is the creation that they made for the shower to welcome Jenn's new baby girl!!

I need to work on the Creativity of these titles...

I mean really, how many different ways can I tell you that I am showing you more of my creations.

Okay...here are a few more I created over the Christmas break. It's just taken me awhile to get them off my camera. Speaking of camera - I got a new camera for Christmas and I am hoping to work on a little creativity through photography in the coming months. I'll post some on here, if I come up with something fun. For now, I'll stick to sharing my jewelry creations.
